OMG! This.Book! Hoot!

Fighting Temptation is my first KC Lynn book, the one that made me obsessed over this author's writing, the book that had me rooting over soldiers, marred, scarred yet off the charts alpha, sexy and hot. This is the book that started my love and addiction over this author's knacks of emotional writing, sexy and hot and will definitely made you feel. Suffice to say, Fighting Temptation is the culprit of all my love KC LYNN!

Honestly, I have all the good things to say for this book. Julia and Jaxson's story is a perfectly imperfect journey I get to love the moment I started reading it. It wasn't all the best thing in the history of books but it was one of those books that really struck me straight in the heart the BESTEST. (It's not even a word, but Lordy, it's how I feel towards the book. It was more than the best). I was in love with the characters immediately. Sure, I was frustrated over Jaxson's hot and cold persona, but it was erased because my love for this man over powers it. His sweetness and caring nature made me a goner.That and the fact that he is an alpha like no other, scorching yet hilarious I cannot help myself not to fall for him. Julia on the other hand, is sassy and sweet. Together, they are just perfect for each other. Their relationship really is one I never thought I will love, but all throughout my journey with them, I fell in love with all their flaws. It was the reason why I rooted for them until the end. My God, I can't even count the times I cried and laugh with this book, add another fact that this one got angst and drama I fell HARD even more.

Overall I highly recommend this book. It's a beautiful story overloaded with all the feels. You'll gonna get frustrated at times but sure enough you'll fall in love with them in the end. The curve balls thrown at them an the rough patches in their journey towards HEA will definitely test your patience, will even give you a maddening feeling but give them a chance, their road to utter bliss was not an easy feat. But Gahd! When they reconnect, it was the best feeling.

So, I read this entire book. "Men of Honor" is this series name, but Jax is unquestionably not a man of honor. Jax is supposedly a Navy Seal. There is no way the navy would accept a guy with obvious anger management issues to train to be a seal, I am sorry, but just no. Jax smashes, crashes and yells his way through this story. He seems to be hanging at the lower end of the IQ scale with his ignorance about a lot of things. Also, I can tell you if jax acted as he was written in this story for the hospital scenes a hospital security guard would have been callled and he would have been escorted out. Why this author would think that nurses would accept being talked to the way Jax was talking to them? Being abusive to hospital staff vs. being protective are two different things. Julia was taking on a lot putting up with a moronic, angry, and abusive man who did not act with honor through this story; I never would have taken him back. Otherwise, I loved the supporting characters in the story.

I used to love reading books about military men. I'm a USMC's daughter, my life is nothing but military, down to my husband and brothers.
This story is on Julia and Jaxson. Julia is the all American good girl and Jaxon is the town's bad boy from the other side of the tracks. An unlikely encounter and they're now best friends. She's in love and he can't confess his feelings.

Fast forward, he joins the seals, gets hurt on an unauthorized mission, doesn't see or speak to her for six years and now he's back trying to pick up where they left off. She's dating the boy that's always wanted her but she doesn't want him.

Boy gets jealous tries to take her by force, he dies and they live happily ever after. Somewhere along the line she gets pregnant and it forces Jaxson to really take a look at hisself.

Why did I give it three stars?

I appreciate the author's writing in on PCOS. It's a topic many don't know about unless they have it. She lists it as the reason why Julia feels she can't have children. Julia's case in this book isn't all the unusual. She got pregnant while taking birth control. It happens, still I appreciate her bringing the topic into the book.

Next, being a Seal is hard. Like SF and Delta, they're ghosts. You won't see them coming and you won't hear them coming. Being trained as they are, they would not run blindly into a situation without some recon. I don't know any soldier, sailor, airman, or marine that would, regardless of who was taken.
That's signing their own death warrant.

Going AWOL on a personal mission, regardless of other things going out is a guaranteed way to into the flames. That's not something that would just go away and earn a soldier a honorable discharge.

There were some parts of the book that I thought was hilarious and other parts that made me a bit sad.

I can't say that grew attached to any of the characters or felt much towards them.

I thought it was sweet the author wrote her friends into the book.

There's a bonus at the end that should've been in the book instead of separate.

Will I read the second book, Grace and Sawyer's story? I can't say that I will. I wasn't attached enough to this story to want to know more about the other characters.

I hope others will enjoy this book. For me, it just didn't work out well.
